My Warpted Imagination..

My Warpted Imagination..

This morning during meditation I started imagining one thing and before you know it my mind ran wild.  Lol…  Its funny in a sense because God did give me a gift of vision but its not funny when my visions turn into warp fantasies depicting evil desires.

Let’s be honest we all have twisted imaginations.  The thing is, we have all imagined when that car cut us off  ramming it with our car and/or that slow pedestrian intentionally walking across the street like a snail  mashing the gas and booting him/her out the way.

What I have learned tho is that even our thoughts produce power.  These thoughts produce negative vibes which in turn affects our whole body and God forbid we speak… Eeeeeee….

So this morning as my mind ran I suddenly started paying attention to my thoughts and redirected them back on the purpose.  And that purpose is to live, love, and laugh.  For this is what God is….

Take inventory of your thoughts today.

Evening Edibles; Celebrating the Success of Others

We’ve all had moments where we are supposed to be happy for someone else’s success, but we felt guilt, envy, and jealousy on the inside. Outwardly, we appear to be happy.  In fact we genuinely are happy for them.  Yet on the inside we longed for our miracle and breakthrough.

How is it possible for me to be happy about someone getting married when my marriage is in shambles? How can I really leap for joy at the success of my coworker’s promotion, when I have longed for that same position?  She absolutely eats anything she wants, but the thought of food makes me gain 10lbs.

These, amongst many others, are thoughts that have crossed my mind and some of the people I have had the privilege to speak with. This is supposed to be a time of celebration but I am feeling these emotions.

It says in the bible that we are to get rid of jealousy and envy, yet these emotions exist. (See 1 Peter 2:1) But how exactly do we genuinely celebrate when we are in the midst of the darkness of our own trials?  I have personally experienced this.  So I thought; How can I genuinely be happy for someone when it appears, all is going right for everyone, except me?

These are some tools I adapted in my life that have been beneficial to my faith:

  • Be very open and honest with God about your feelings. He can’t help you if you refuse to admit your problems to Him. We do this thru prayer. Prayer opens the gateway for direct communication with God. During prayer we talk with God and He talks with us. Even if He doesn’t answer right away He will always give you a response. This step is very important for your healing process. PRAYER CHANGES THINGS AND PEOPLE.
  • Prayer Partners…. It is very important to connect with people who have unshakeable faith. The prayer from a man whose heart is right with God holds much weight. This person should be someone you can trust, and very knowledgeable and empathetic. This will enable them to shed wisdom and light on the situation. Please be advised; this person must be mature and sensitive, not only to you, but to the Holy Spirit. NO ONE WANTS TO GET KICKED WHILE THEY ARE DOWN!!!
  • Patience. Some miracles don’t happen overnight, some do. Patience builds character, virtue, and endurance. So the way you act during your process says a lot about your character.
  • Trust God. He wants to prosper you in all areas, and you have to believe this. (see Jeremiah 29:11) If there is something, ANYTHING, in His will, He will give it to you. NO DOUBT!

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT)

Study Gods word to know His will and purpose for your life. You will then see that their success is also your success. We never know exactly how long, what struggles, or how earnestly they prayed for that breakthrough you are witnessing. This is a process. A process I believe, we all have to work through. So remain grateful in knowing, God is not a respecter of persons, He shows no favoritism. That same God, what He did for others, He can and will do for you. It’s all in His timing, not ours.
